Child critical after Newham collision

A TEN YEAR OLD BOY is in an East London hospital with serious head injuries after a collision in Barking Road, E6, near Emerald Avenue.

The collision occurred just before 8pm on Thursday, 13th February – between a vehicle and the boy, who was a pedestrian. The police and London Ambulance Service attended.

The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting the Metropolitan Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit with their inquiries into the incident.

The London Ambulance Service took the young pedestrian to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
