Maswood Ahmed appointed Assistant Secretary General of the MCB

Following the Muslim Council of Britain’s AGM, Mrs Zara Mohammed was re-elected as Secretary General.

On 26th February 2023, the first National Council Meeting of the MCB took place and Mr Maswood Ahmed, a well-known community leader, philanthropist and a business consultant has been appointed by the National Council as an Assistant Secretary General of the MCB.
 
He said, “I pray I am able to fulfil my duties and responsibilities to the best of my abilities, to serve the community, working for the common good. I seek everyone’s sincere advice, guidance and prayers.”
 
The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) is the UK’s largest Muslim umbrella organisation with over 500 member organisations, including mosques, schools, charitable associations, and professional networks.
