Student achievements were high on the list as the Hind Grove Mosque and Cultural Centre celebrated a year of learning, progress and achievements for students.
In attendance at the Poplar Union were students, parents, and teachers. Special guests included Tower Hamlets Councillor Puru Miah, former Mayor Abdul Aziz Sarwar, community activist Bokul Hussain and Emdad Rahman.
Students delivered impressive performances on various aspects of their learning and addressed the importance of their roles and responsibilities in modern society.
Special recognition was reserved for the dedicated teachers who were awarded a plaque of appreciation for their efforts to educate and mentor the children.
Anfor Ali, founder of Hind Grove Masjid and Cultural Centre and current General Secretary commented, “It is important for us to celebrate the achievements of our students and it’s been a pleasure to see the performances and speeches.
“We have a huge role to play in helping shape the future of our children and help them to become citizens who are active as positive role models.
