THE INVESTIGATION into a murder which happened nearly a year ago has paid off – with five people now facing charges.
The murder occurred on 5th August 2025. It was just afterhey midnight when police received reports that gunshots had been heard on Dynevor Road in Stoke Newington. The rushed to the scene and found a 45 year old man suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was later named as Erdal Ozmen, aged 45.
Five individuals were arrested on 1st July in connection with the murder. They were charged the following day.
•Sebastian Baah Achemfour, 19, of Newland Road, Hornsey has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm.
•Omar Mohammed, 22, of Gospatrick Road, Tottenham has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm and perverting the course of justice.
•Kalel Chen-Miller, 23, of Wolseley Road, Wealdstone has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
•Darian Thompson-Cox, 28, of Raleigh Road, Hornsey has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
•A 16-year-old boy has been charged with perverting the course of justice. He cannot be named due to his age.
All five of the individuals were due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on 2nd July.
