Turkish delights recalled as milk discovered

TURKISH DELIGHT is a popular Christmas-time treat – but if you have any supplies left over, check them now, as some have been recalled.

The sweets in question are from the Sultans Turkish Delights brand, made by TJX Europe. The recall comes because some of the products contain milk, but this ingredient is not declared on the label. The sweets therefore pose a danger to anyone with a milk allergies.

Milk allergies can be very severe. Some sufferers can go into life-threatening shock just from touching milk or a product containing milk. This reaction is rare, but because of the serious consequences it is important to ensure that no one with an allergy consumes this product.

The products being recalled are Sultans Chocolate Covered Turkish Delight in the following flavours:
Lemon (250gm, product code 760240)
Strawberry (250gm, product code 760241)
Pistachio (250 gm, product code 760242 and 225gm, product code 760246)
All products have a best before date of 25th September 2026.

Customers who have bought any of these products and who have an allergy or intolerance towards milk or milk products should not eat them.
