TODAY WE gaze north up the Millwall Inner Dock.
Once a busy working dock, over the last 30 years what was once public land has been taken over by high rise blocks of flat. Most of them are for sale; most of the others are let out for high rents.
In the distance is Canary Wharf – the rich man’s playground.
