FORMER BANGLADESH captain Mohammad Ashraful was the first opener as Scintilla Cricket Club hosted London Braves at Goodmayes Park.

The exhibition game was extremely well attended due to the popularity of Ashraful. Although bowled clean by Moin Arefin, Ashraful’s influence was in no doubt as Scintilla edged a win in a thrilling encounter.

Captain Adil Ejaz commented, “It’s been a really challenging season for us but this is the reality of grassroots cricket. I’m just pleased we are still able to play the game we love with a smile on our faces. Well done everybody and thank you Study Buddies Tuition Centre for the support.”
