CAN YOU help police identify and locate the man in this picture? Police who are investigating a homophobic hate crime which took plase in Hackney would like to speak to him.
The crime took place in the early hours of Saturday, 4th July in Broadway Market. A 23 year old man was subjected to homophobic abuse and then assaulted. The London Ambulance Service had to be called. The victim went to hospital at a later date for treatment for a facial injury.
PC Jack Hiew of Stoke Newington Police Station said, “We recognise the impact that this incident has had on the victim, and he continues to be supported by specialist LGBT+ liaison officers. We’ve conducted various enquiries in an attempt to identify the suspect, and we’re now appealing for the public’s help.”
