Pedestrian fights for life after A406 collision

POLICE ARE appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A406 which occurred a few minutes before 9pm on Friday, 13th September. The collision occurred at the junction with Walthamstow Avenue, just before the turn off for Chingford.

A pedestrian was hit by a car. She was taken by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital, where she remains in a life threatening condition. Police are trying to identify the victim, whom they believe is in her 40s, and inform her next of kin.
