ILFL Hosts World Cup Draw

Hackney has hosted the draw for the 2024 Inner London Football League World Cup.

The showpiece veterans football tournament will take place on Sunday 11th August at Mabley Green.

The draw was conducted by World Cup Tournament Director Nanu Miah and ILFL official Azmol Ali, alongside chairman Rashid Ali and Emdad Rahman, Head Coach of the reigning champions Bangladesh.

After the conclusion of the event tournament Director Nanu Miah commented, “The World Cup will bring our communities together and provide a platform for people to celebrate their heritage.

“Our collective ethos is based on sportsmanship and fostering a positive community spirit, using the power of football. Good luck to all our teams on what promises to be a splendid day.”

ILFL Chair Rashid Ali added, “This is a showpiece event which celebrates the heritage, culture and the contributions of people who do so much to enhance and contribute to life. This is a celebratory occasion for us all and we wish all our teams good fortune on what will be a memorable day for all.”
