Get ready for National Kebab Day!

WE’VE BEEN stuck indoors for weeks – and kept out of all those places called the “hospitality industry”. It’s brought on cravings: some for the experience of eating food someone else has cooked, some for branded food – and some for generic fare.

Now our desires have been recognised by Feed the Lion, who have brought restaurants and takeaways across the country together to celebrate the kebab. On Friday, 10th July you can let your hair down, go out or order in – and help yourself to a 30% discount at selected outlets.

Kebabs are now firmly fix in the British diet: around 1.3 million of them are consumed every day. Feed the Lion Chief Editor Hamza A. Bajwa pointed out, “It is no secret that restaurants and takeaways across the country have been struggling during this Covid-19 lockdown. If we are going to help our local businesses, then the time is now, not later.

“After a long period indoors for so many, National Kebab Day (#NationalKebabDay) is encouraging people to celebrate one of Britain’s national dishes by getting out there and enjoying a delicious kebab meal. And with such a diverse multi-ethnic community, our country arguably boasts some of the most varied kebabs anywhere in the world, with enough variety to spoil you for choice.”

The wide range of kebabs on offer should ensure that every taste and preference can be met. There’s moist chunks of chicken, tender lamb and robust beef – or delicious Mediterranean vegetables and veggie options such as paneer – which has been skewered and roasted. There’s minced meat which has been shaped around a skewer and grilled or BBQd, or… well, don’t leave it to us – look for yourself.  We recommend that you do not consult this website when you are hungry: the pictures of succulent kebabs could easily prompt an out of schedule raid on the fridge.

Find an outlet near you which is offering a 30% discount and then order your discount voucher as soon as possible:
