Cllr Mumtaz Kahn elected Deputy Chair of Newham Council

CLLR MUMTAZ KHAN was elected to Newham Council in 2018 as a Labour councillor representing Green Street West ward.

At this year’s AGM, Cllr Khan was selected as the Deputy Chair of Newham Council. She will work with the Chair of the council, Cllr Winston Vaughan, for the municipal year 2021-2022.

Cllr Neil Wilson spoke eloquently about Cllr Khan, describing her commitment towards women’s rights, safeguarding children and serving the general community in Newham. Cllr Carleene Lee-Phakoe also expressed her best wishes and talked highly of cllr mumtaz khan and her hard work.
