Redbridge has hosted the Hope For Needy charity Badminton to support struggling communities.
The all day event at the Jean Brown Indoor Arena at the Redbridge Sports Centre saw players from all over the country come together to help a good cause.
In the final youth conquered experience as Jakarya Khan and Shueb Ahmed from London Sportif triumphed after clawing back a seven point deficit to become champions with 33-31 points.
London Enterprise Academy Headteacher Ashid Ali, a keen badminton player and enthusiast attended as a guest and spoke after the tournament, “Congratulations to Dipok, the organisers and the sponsors on a great tournament enjoyed by many guests.
“This is a community passionate about badminton and it was interesting to watch the younger duo outsmart and overpower their experienced opponents.”
Donations from the tournament will ensure that Hope For Needy can continue to provide essential support to those who need it most.
Hope for the Needy is a registered charity with a 100% donation policy. All projects are Zakat eligible.
