IF YOU HAVE a child in Year 6 (the last year of primary school) and you would like that child to go to a secondary school in Tower Hamlets next year, it is time to apply for a place.
A child in Year 6 would have been born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 and will start secondary school in September 2027. If your child needs that place, start looking into Tower Hamlets schools now. There is a page on the Tower Hamlets Council website with the information you need.
Most schools in Tower Hamlets are excellent, bult do read up about them before applying – there may be one you haven’t thought about yet. Schools are offering visiting days over the next two months: do go along and see the inside of the school and meet the teachers.
The deadline for applications is 31st October 2026 and offers will be sent out on 1st March 2027. Applications have to be made online.
