Police seek suspect in violent Dalston robbery

POLICE HAVE released an image of a man they wish to speaks to in connection with a robbery which took place in the Dalston Kingsland Shopping Centre, E8, on 24th April.

Police were called out just before 9pm and went to the shopping centre, where they found a man who had been the victim of a robbery.  The victim told police that a man had come up to him and threatened him with a knife, then taking him to a cash point. The man had stolen cash and an oyster card from the victim.

Detective Constable James Readman, who is leading the investigation, said, “A victim has been approached by a man wielding a knife and forced to hand over cash and his wallet in a busy shopping centre. I believe that this would have been witnessed by lots of members of the public. If you saw what happened, or if you can identify the man pictured, please do get in touch with us.”

Anyone who saw the incident, recognises the suspect or has any other information which may assist the police is asked to contact police via 101 and quote reference CAD 8154/24 April. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111 and give information anonymously.
