Go Green and Get Growing!

Spring Gathering joins forces with Spring Festival
Tower Hamlets Food Growing Network’s Spring Gathering is joining forces with the Spring Festival at Chrisp Street Market on 18th April, between 11am and 4pm. As usual there will be stalls, workshops (including fermenting and preserving, companion planting and fruit beauty & homemade beauty products) and cooking demonstrations, but this year there will be also be much more! Expect to see everything “Green”- upcycling, solar panels, energy efficiency, chickens, bees and even the London Vegetable Orchestra! All are welcome, please bring family and friends. Easter Holiday gardening session at the View Tube!
Create a beautiful spring planter to take home with the Groundwork “Make Grow Do” project on Tuesday, 7th April, 11am-2pm. Come along to the View Tube, The Greenway, Marshgate Lane, E15 2PJ.

Seed sowing at the Bromley-By-Bow Centre
As part of the Groundwork “Make Grow Do” project, there will be a squash and beans seed sowing session at the Bromley-by-Bow Centre on 7th April, 2-4pm. Come along to help contribute to the new Mobile Garden project!

Community Gardening course at Cordwainers
If you live or work in Hackney and are interested in starting up a community garden, this could be the course for you! Cordwainers Grow are offering a free six-week long course which covers designing and building your space, legal issues, fundraising and networking and getting people involved. Plant sale at St. Hilda’s East Community Centre
To support the St. Hilda’s Older People project, come along to their Spring Plant Sale on 30th April between 11am and 2pm. There will be plants from £1, as well as tea, coffee and delicious cake!
