Eden Care volunteers reach Mount Snowdon Summit

Emdad Rahman

A group of volunteers from Eden Care end of life support have successfully climbed Mount Snowdon. The group took part in the climb to help raise awareness about the group burials fund, gifts for orphans project and the helping lives in Sylhet appeal.

Volunteer Shanaz Rashid said: “It’s been really tough but we have been mesmerised by the beauty Snowdonia has to offer. In that sense we are very lucky. We hope our small act will help raise awareness of what Eden Care is trying to achieve in terms of helping the most needy people in our community.”

Abu Mumin of Eden Care added: “Since we started providing these bespoke and vital services we have gained an insight into how important it is to support a project like ours. We advocate for better care and amongst other services we help with burial arrangements and costs. In many instances we reach out to families and befriend those who are nearing the end of their lives. The trip was memorable and the beauty of Snowdonia will be a lifelong memory.”

Eden Care end of life supporting befriending service is a friendly intervention setup to provide one to one, person-centred support and empower the terminally ill and those reaching the end of life. Eden Care’s Services include emergency rapid response to people who are terminally sick and reaching the end of life. The Rapid Response Team will provide 24 hours a day and seven day a week community intervention to support families during their hour of need.
