Crossharbour collision fatal: victim named

POLICE HAVE confirmed that the woman injured in a collision with a motor vehicle near Crossharbour DLR station, E14, died the following day. She has now been named as Charlotte Kenning, 26, from Goole in Humberside.

Police and the London Ambulance Service were called out to Limeharbour at approximately 11.45pm on Saturday, 25th May. Paramedics treated a woman pedestrian, who had been hit by the motor vehicle and suffered a number of injuries, and then took her to hospital, bt she sadly died the following day.

The motor vehicle who collided with the pedestrian was a red Vauxhall Astra. Police did not arrest the driver but he will be interviewed as part of their investigation into what happened.

Ms Kenning’s next of kin have been informed of her death, and family members are being supported by police officers. Ms Kenning’s father issued a statement which said, “Charlotte was the loveliest, most beautiful and kindest person you could wish to know. She will be sadly missed and was much loved by everyone who knew her.”

Police officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are trying to establish how the collision happened and they have appealed again for anyone who witnessed the accident to call them on 020-8597 4874 .
