Chingford collision leaves man critical

ONE WEEK ON, police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Chingford to come forward. A 73 year old man was seriously injured in the collision and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The collision took place in Station Road, opposite Chingford Station, at 9am last Monday, 16th April. It seems that the man who was injured was the driver of a vehicle which mounted the pavement and then hit a tree and/or a parked car.

The scene of the accident was close to a bus stop outside the Mobo bar and police believe that people waiting at the bus stop, or possibly on a bus, may have seen the accident.

Anyone who saw the collision or has any information about it is asked to call police officers at Chadwell Health Traffic Garage on 020-8597 4874.
