Winter can be a time for great hardship and loneliness for some, and local youth at Splash have given up their time to make things easier for the elderly.
Under the supervision of Sister Christine Frost and youth leader Amrana Begum, the Poplar based group have delivered aid to Calais, served food to the community, delivered Christmas dinners and spent time with the elderly and frail in their care homes.
Amrana said: “They are a really cool bunch, dedicated and fun to be with. Our youngsters will go from strength to strength and I hope others will do the same and learn from what they do.”
