Women’s Reunion Event At Care House

At Care House, in East London, after more than four decades, Da’watul Islam UK and Eire’s ladies came together for a heart-warming re-union event which brought back many cherished memories and strengthened their community spirit.

The reunion event served as a nostalgic journey down memory lane, with ladies sharing stories, laughter, and reminiscing over the past days of Da’watul Islam UK & Eire.

Sajeda Ahmed (In-charge of Da’watul Islam UK and Eire, Ladies English Section), who co-ordinated the event said, “This is a special re-union programme where we have brought together people who had been at the forefront of community and social welfare work several decades ago.” In her speech, Sajeda Ahmed gave thanks to everyone and appreciated their love, affection and their long-standing contribution to society.”

She further said, “I hope this reunion will usher in a new phase that will combine the passions of our youth with the wisdom of our elders, creating stronger ties between us all.”

The President of Da’watul Islam UK & Eire, Sheikh Hafiz Maulana Abu Sayeed, said, “Da’watul Islam UK & Eire values all members, both young and old, and I congratulate Sajeda Ahmed for taking the initiative to honour the ladies from the early days of our organisation. I hope the re-union will serve as a new bridge to connect our past with our present, to chart a strong united future together.”

Prayers were made for the participants’ good health and long-life. Also, those who have passed away were remembered. The programme ended with a celebratory meal.
