UK Bangla Media Cup: Statement from LB24TV

We have just witnessed the first ever UK Bangla Media Cup and apart from football this was a celebration of the contributions of our community to civic life. We are a resourceful, enterprising, tight knit and loyal group of people who bring colour wherever we go.

Our LB24 team did us proud. They got together for the very first time on match day and exited unbeaten and having not conceded a goal. The memories will last us a long time and we are proud of our contribution to this special day.

LB24TV would like to thank Zakir Khan, Mujib Islam, the sponsors, supporters and all the media teams for their support and participation.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Moinul Khan, Mahbub Hussain, Delwar Hussain and Abdul Aziz of Anokha Bar & Restaurant for their amazing support and generosity.

We thank our team manager and head coach Shahinul Khan for his time, patience and fantastic commitment to our team.

We reserve special thanks for the UK Bangla Media Cup Commissioner Repon Chowdhury for his energy, availability and for ensuring the tournament ran so smoothly.

Finally, congratulations to Rizwan Hussain, Shaikh Madani, Shiraz Miah, Abdal Ahmed and the team at TV One for making history and becoming the first team to win the UK Bangla Media Cup. You are worthy winners.
