IN OCTOBER we usually celebrate Black History. This month we are looking at how Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Councillors are making new history.

Cllr Shah Shuhel Ameen, Whitechapel Ward, Tower Hamlets, Twitter, 15th June 2020 – illuminated in green, going to great lengths (heights?) to remember the victims of Grenfell. Perhaps he is now considering how to hasten fire safety measures for residents of high rise blocks in Tower Hamlets.
