London Eagles celebrate club season

London Eagles of Tower Hamlets celebrated the end of a successful 2022 season with a special dinner to express appreciation for all the team captains and volunteers.

The club dinner at the Empre Indian Restaurant was held in conjunction with the Grassroots Trust and guests included Jawar Ali, Essex Cricket Club Director, Graham Pryke – Essex Cricket Development Manager, Shahidul Alam Ratan – CEO of Capital Kids Cricket, Councillor Abdul Wahid Ali – Tower Hamlets Council, Shuhel Malik – Advisor for Sports to the Mayor of Tower Hamlets and former Bangladesh test player Enamul Haque.

In addition to celebrating the success of the various teams and players, London Eagles are delighted to announce that the Saturday 1st team were promoted to the Hamro Essex league and the 2nd XI team were promoted to the ECCL Premier Division 1 league.

The club was also recently awarded with the ECB Clubmark status.

Club captain Salman Ahmed commented, “Considering that the club has only been operating for a few years, this has been a massive achievement and a result of all the dedication and hard work that goes into running a grassroots establishment like ours.

“Thank you to everyone who continue to support us on our journey and we hope to count on your support going forward in order to continue to grow and prosper.”
