Island Network wishes residents Eid Mubarak

THERE WAS NO let up for the volunteers organised by the Island Network as they rounded off July with visits to a local care home and the local Salvation Army.

Maium Miah, Chair of the Island Network, said, “Our local care homes have been working through Lockdown looking after local residents. The Salvation Army does wonderful work looking after people in their time of need.  We are pleased to visit today to bring some extra supplies to make life a little easier at this special time of the year. Eid Mubarak!”

Maium Miah went on to thank Donne Tracey, Park View Outdoor Play, Fakrul Islam and Saifur Rahman for their help with food distribution. Food supplies have been funded by the Canary Wharf Group and One Housing.
