Inner London Football League Awards highlights community engagement

The best of grassroots was on the agenda as the great and the good came together for the Inner London Football League Awards night.

The prestigious annual event was held at Impressions in Newham and celebrated another phenomenal year of grassroots engagement at a local and national level.

Amongst the glamour teams on the night were the all conquering Bromley by Bow FC, Ace, SYA, Poplar Legends and Beaumont FC who collected their respective trophies on stage.

There was a special mention for World Cup winners Colombia who bet England in the final to take over the reigns from holders Bangladesh.

Inner London Football League Chairman Rashid Ali commented, “it’s been an outstanding year for all our patrons. I’m just really proud at how successful we have been in using football to keep our communities in shape and regularly active.

“Our programmes have gone national and our reach has achieved some very satisfactory results. On behalf of my management team I’d like to thank our teams, sponsors and our well wishers for their continued support.”
