Da’watul Islam Ladies Hold Meet & Greet

Da’watul Islam UK & Eire’s Ladies’ English Section hosted a “Meet & Greet” event at the Darul Ummah Care House, bringing together over one hundred women from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds.

The event opened with recitation from the Holy Qur’an. The opening speech was by Sajeda Ahmed, who is in charge of the Da’watul Islam Ladies English Section. She emphasised the need for ladies to work together, with sincerity and in an organised manner.

Unit leaders who spoke at the event, highlighting their work, included; Shakera Begum (East Ham Unit), Husnara Begum (Goresbrook Unit), Dr Bodrun Nessa, (Hornchurch Unit) and Fawziah Rafa (Shadwell Unit).

The event included a team building challenge, to promote teamwork and positive competition. Representatives from the Da’watul Islam central leadership team included Vjce President Barrister Ahmed Abdul Malik, alongside the organisations Secretary General, Khalilur Rahman as well as Darul Ummah Imam Abul Hasanat Chowdhury.

The trio introduced the work of Da’watul Islam and encouraged attendees to work collectively.

The event finished with prayers and a networking dinner.
