Kind hearted runners enjoyed a well deserved evening out at a social event to support a local theatre.
A popular fundraising quiz evening arranged by Timi Veerasamy was a big success, with £874 being raised by inter running clubs and local parkrun teams for the Kenneth More Theatre from ticket sales and a raffle.
There were significant contributions from Dagenham 88 runners, Ilford Harriers, the Elvis Clubs, Barking Road Runners, Valentines parkrun, Raphael parkrun, and Barking & Dagenham junior parkrun. There was also support from Louise Chappell and Dagenham 88 captain Gary Cardnell, among others.
Timi Veerasamy, Social Secretary for Dagenham 88 runners, commented, “Our contribution will help the Kenneth More with their funding for the current year and help maintain our local theatre. Well done to all runners and artists for coming together for an evening of fun and laughter for a great local cause.”
