Salvation Army hosts community lunch

AS PART OF interfaith week celebrations, the Salvation Army Poplar hosted a community lunch with various members of the local community.

Sister Christine Frost introduced guests who included Leon Silver, President of Nelson Street Synagogue, the Reverend Jane Hodges, Daniel Hillier from Faiths & Mental Health and the Reverend Matt Wall.

Special thanks were reserved for the hosts David and Meshiel Brown for hosting as well as laying on a lunch spread.

Jacqui Zinkin from the United Synagogue Women will be joining John Moffatt SJ on Thursday, 16th November at 5pm at Our Lady & St Joseph’s school for interfaith discussions. On Sunday, 19th November there will be a community family day at St Matthias Community Centre, Poplar. The food will be cooked by worshippers from the neighbouring Poplar Mosque.
