New Winter Festival launches in Greenwich

DECEMBER WILL see a range of events take place in Greenwich which will come together as the Greenwich Wintertime Festival. Events will take place in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College and against the backdrop of the Cutty Sark.

A full programme of activities will be available next month. Until then, it seems that plans include an ice rink as well as promises of entertainment and festive food and drink. We are also promised “London’s finest innovative lifestyle winter market”. Crumbs.

It seems that the entertainment will be split into three hour chunks, and the public will be invited to buy tickets for three hour slots – each of which will be a “three hour experience”. Crumbs again.

Tickets for the three hour experience will be on sale from 23rd August and will cost you £15 (adults) or £8 (children) – which will put it well out of the reach of most East Londoners.
