Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves

Emdad Rahman

Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves is not one of the most well known pantomimes, but that doesn’t faze Barking Music and Drama. They have tackled many of the lesser known panto stories over the last few years – Mother Goose, Beauty and the Beast, Robin Hood and Babes in the Wood – and created smash-hit productions for Barking and Dagenham audiences at knock-down prices.

Come and meet Dame Fatima Fandango, the former belly dancer turned Baghdad street trader, and her helper Mustafa Screwloose who turn their market barrow into a supermarket barrow with a familiar name! Meet Ali Baba the woodcutter who discovers where Asbad and his Forty Thieves (or is it 14 thieves?!) hide their stolen goods.

Come and cheer the good guys and boo the bad guys and have a great time joining in with the fun and singing along to all the familiar songs. You’d be Barking Mad to miss it!
