London Carrom Academy is proud to present the 2025 Women’s Singles Carrom Competition, taking place on Sunday, 6th July 2025 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at CEG Harkness House, Christian Street, London E1 1RX.
Open to women of all ages and skill levels, this dynamic day of competition aims to spotlight women’s empowerment through sport and recreation, using the game of Carrom as a powerful platform for connection, wellness, and community building.
Entry is £20, with lunch and dinner included. This is a full day of competitive play, cultural camaraderie, and celebration of women in sport.
Carrom is a traditional tabletop game with South Asian origins, similar in concept to billiards, combining precision, strategy, and hand-eye coordination. Played by flicking a striker disk to sink lighter “carrom men” into corner pockets, it promotes mental focus, strategic thinking, and social interaction. Carrom is enjoyed globally across generations as both a competitive sport and a fun pastime.
This exciting event is supported by London Features, London Carrom Academy, Over Fifties Ladies Consortium, Easter Connections Peers Group, Carrom Association, and Children’s Education Group – partners all aligned in promoting inclusivity, intergenerational activity, and the benefits of community led sport.
Hafsa Islam, Editor of London Features and spokesperson for the event, commented:
“This competition is more than just a tournament; it’s a celebration of women coming together through heritage, sport, and mutual support.
“Carrom is a brilliant way to build confidence, spark joy, and foster friendships across cultures and generations. We’re proud to champion women’s recreational spaces where they can lead, thrive, and be celebrated.”
Whether you’re a seasoned player or trying Carrom for the first time, this event welcomes you to be part of a growing movement redefining women’s sport and leisure.
