What’s on at the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park?

A SMALL OASIS of green, teeming with plant-life and the smaller kind of animal, Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park offers a welcome respite from the concrete, noise and hustle of over-developed city living. Drop in and enjoy a quiet saunter round by yourself, or come along to one of the events organised by the Friends of the Cemetery Park.

Every Tuesday and the first Sunday of the month
Conservation Volunteering
Donate your time and effort to help keep the Park looking at its best. Equipment, training and refreshments provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and warm clothing.

Every Friday
Health & Well-being volunteering with Grounded Ecotherapy
Drop in through the day and help keep the Park looking good. Session run by Grounded Ecotherapy, a local charity helping those facing the challenge of mental health issues and/or the other challenges of life. Refreshments and equipment provided.

Saturday, 20th April
Bow Beasties Wildlife Club
Admission free
Free wildlife club for kids. This month’s activity is a forage in the PARK to make a wild green smoothie.

Sunday, 21st April
Guided tour of the spring bees
Admission free
This month’s guided walk of the Park will be led by Mark Patterson – expert beekeeper and conservation educator.

Saturday, 27th & Sunday, 28th April
City Nature Challenge 2019
Admission free
Events in selected venues across the borough including a moth trap and a guided walk round the Cemetery Park; bird watching and stalls in Swedenborg Gardens and Shandy Park.

Sunday, 19th May
Sound Journey
Book tickets (see FOCP website)
Be part of making voices and instruments sound in harmony with the noises of nature in the Park.

Sunday, 26th May
Beeswax Workshop
There’s so much you can make from beeswax – find out and have a go.

Saturday, 29th June
Save the date: it’s the Cemetery Park Summer Fair! Put your name down to volunteer at the event. Further information follows.
