The Travelling Journalist docks at Regents Canal

CYPRIOT BORN Jack Jacovou is originally from north London but grew up in south London before beginning travelling by boat. He started photography in 1977 as a hobby and is now a well known snapper who has travelled the length and breadth of the country via the beautiful English waterways. 

In 2009 Jack purchased an empty shell and built it up to the canal barge he lives in today. He believes that living on a boat is the best way to experience and appreciate the beauty of the UK. He said: “I love it and since living this way I’ve never looked back, seeing some pretty amazing scenes along the way.”

Jack is on the canal at Mile End Park till Monday and people can visit and check out his gallery. All pictures are his own work and can be viewed and purchased on his Facebook page:
