Shake Shack UK has come up with a brilliant way to feed two birds with one spoon. You get a Shake for less than half price, and Action Against Hunger gets a donation to help feed hungry children. It’s all win, win. Here’s what you need to do.
First you go to Shake Shack. You donate £2 (or more!) to Action Against Hunger – and Shake Shack gives you voucher for a free hand-spun shake (worth £5.25) on your next visit.
Going to Shake Shack will not be a hardship. The chain has a commitment to serve antibiotic-free beef burgers and hormone-free chicken. While you’re there, you can indulge in their special speciality: frozen custard! Over the month, there will be, in turn, Blueberry Lemon, Red Velvet, Cookies N’ Chocolately Cream, S’mores and Strawberry Cheesecake.
The offer runs throughout May, and this is the third year Shake Shack has run the promotion to help fund Action Against Hunger. Shake Shack is a US company with a select number of outlets around the world. East London’s Shake Shack is in Stratford (Westfield Stratford City), but there are others in Covent Garden, New Oxford Street… and Cardiff.
•Shake Shack is at Westfield Stratford, 124-125 The Street, Stratford Avenue, London E20 1EN. For more information about Shake Shack, go to:

•Action Against Hunger has been working with the food and drinks industry to raise charitable donations for over 17 years. The £2 donation you make at Shake Shack will provide a two-day supply pack of therapeutic food used to nurse acutely malnourished children back to health. The charity works in natural and man-made emergency situations alongside focussing on long-term solutions to malnutrition. For more information, go to:
