Tower Hamlets residents can have a clear out of items they no longer want and search for bits and pieces they need at a Swap Event on Saturday, 30th August.
Residents should bring reusable, clean items no longer needed to the community hall at 32 Merchant Street, Bow, E3 4LX between 11am and 3pm. The items must be in good condition and something that donors are proud to hand on. In return, residents can swap them for anything that takes their fancy.
Books, DVDs, CDs, clothes, paired shoes, toys and bric-a-brac can be brought along to the event. Large items, such as furniture, can also be swapped but should not be brought to the event. Instead residents should bring along a photo or description of the item, along with their contact details.
Items such as household batteries, printer cartridges, low energy light bulbs, bikes and small electrical appliances like hairdryers, toasters, kettles and mobile phones can be brought along for recycling but cannot be swapped.
