“Supplement” may contain stones and metal

WHETHER IT IS necessary or advisable to take dietary supplements is a controversial issue. But we can all agree that if we are taking supplements, we don’t want small stones and small pieces of metal in them.

It’s bad luck for Waitrose, then – because they have announced that their ZOE Daily 30+7 Day wholefood supplement may contain these very contaminants. The supermarket has recalled the product because it is unsafe for anyone to consume it.

The pack size of the affected product is 112.5g and they will have a batch code of 24266A, 24267A or 24270A.

Anyone who has this produced is asked not to consume it. You should take it to your local Waitrose branch, where you will receive a full refund. If you need any further information, you are invited to call Waitrose Customer Care on 0800-188 884, option 4.
