Half a century ago, we were listening to The Move, who released the epic Blackberry Way in November 1968 and saw it climb to the top of the UK Charts in February 1969. Unusually for a psychedelic 69s number, it is wistful and reflective – but classy nonetheless. What else would you expect from the pen of Roy Wood – even if he was just at the start of his career?
