Runners Invited to ‘Chase The Sun’ at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park This August

Runners of all levels are gearing up for an evening of speed, sunshine, and sport as RunThrough’s “Chase The Sun” 5k & 10k returns to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Wednesday, 13th August 2025.

Set against the backdrop of one of London’s most iconic sporting venues, the event offers participants a chance to race around a flat, fast, and chip-timed course – perfect for those chasing a personal best. Whether you opt for the 5k (2 laps) or 10k (4 laps), the route promises an inspiring and energised summer run through Olympic legacy grounds.

The race kicks off at 7:00 PM, with both distances starting simultaneously, and will wrap up by 8:30 PM. Each kilometre is clearly marked, with marshals stationed throughout the course to guide and cheer runners to the finish line.

As part of the event experience, participants can take part in the Brooks Shoe Trial, testing the latest Brooks Hyperion Range. Details and sign-up information will be provided via email following event registration.

All entrants will receive:
• A unique themed medal
• Free race photos
• Chip-timed results
• Post-race goodies from event partners

The race village will feature a vibrant atmosphere, complete with food and drink vendors and a welcoming team of staff and volunteers focused on delivering a top-tier running experience.
