The Whitechapel-based Human Relief Foundation (HRF) is looking to brighten up the festive season for young children being cared for at the Royal London Hospital. The London branch of HRF has partnered with Bart’s Charity this winter to support the “Send a Smile with Santa” Appeal, which aims to provide presents for every patient.
Human Relief Foundation’s Events and Finance Co-ordinator Faiza Choudhary said: “Human Relief Foundation is honoured to be working in collaboration with Bart’s Charity this winter on their ‘Send a Smile with Santa’ Appeal. We will be raising funds to provide presents for sick children at the Royal London Hospital. We are looking forward to working with the local community to fundraise for this amazing cause and putting smiles on the faces of children who will be spending their holidays in hospital.”
Khoyrul Shaheed added: “This appeal is a national campaign and we are using the feelings of goodwill to unite with our fellow citizens and bring a little happiness to the lives of young children. We are raising funds for the Royal London Hospital and hope to bring about lots of smiles and laughter.”
As part of this campaign Human Relief Foundation’s London officers will raise funds for the Royal London Hospital, the Bradford branch will help the Bradford Royal Infirmary, Birmingham HRF will be supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Manchester will fundraise for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Dr Nabeel Al Ramadhani, President of HRF, said: “The motivation behind our Children’s Christmas Appeal was simple: to bring joy to children who will be spending their time in hospital this festive season and relieve them from the suffering during their hard time of illness. We are proud to be working in partnership with hospitals across the country for this campaign to share happiness and joy within our beloved communities.”
