Haverhill Electrical Suppliers are celebrating almost four decades of top class service after winning the best business category at the inaugural Suffolk BME Business Awards 2016. Haverhill Electrical Suppliers has been established for over 35 years, supplying national retailers in a very competitive sector. The company has very strong links to the community, especially sports clubs.
The University of Suffolk and the Bangladeshi Support Centre worked in partnership to present these awards, which aim to celebrate the diversity of businesses originating in the BME community. Award categories included:
•Business of the Year
•Businessperson of the Year
•Startup/New Business of the Year
•Community Business of the Year
Haverhill Electrical Suppliers beat off strong competition from Marman’s Meze, Kaspas Desserts, Eastern Spice and H&F Auto Services to claim the prestigious business award during an evening of celebration held at the University of Suffolk, Ipswich.
Managing Director Nurul Hoque, who is also a respected head sports coach expressed his delight upon receiving the award. “Our success is based on our hunger to provide the best service at all costs. We are disciplined and strive hard to succeed. Sport taught me all that. Congratulations to all fellow winners. As far as I am concerned everyone attending tonight is a winner,” he said.
Apart from the University of Suffolk and the Bangladesh Support Centre, the event was also supported by the Ipswich Star and the East Anglian Times.
