The East London Mosque is well known to Tower Hamlets residents as a large, busy Mosque and Islamic Centre. But did you know that two schools are housed in the London Muslim Centre and the newly completed Maryam Centre in the East London Mosque complex?
Al Mizan caters for Years 3 to 6 and is a one-form entry primary school with Tahfiz and the National Curriculum. London East Academy (LEA) is a one-form entry secondary school and specialises in teaching the National Curriculum alongside Islamic sciences subjects. Both schools, which share a headteacher, are looking to appoint new staff.
Al Mizan is seeking to recruit to the newly created post of Deputy Headteacher as well as needing an additional Primary Teacher. LEA is seeking to recruit an English Teacher.
Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory DBS clearance and references. The schools welcome prospective applicants to visit the schools – but you’ll have to get your skates on if you are interested, as the deadline for applications is 19th August.
