Double winners Wapping end season on a high

Wapping Youth FC under 14’s have rounded off a fantastic season by completing both the Echo League Cup and Echo Premier Division Double.

The Tower Hamlets team led by Alan Bayram and his assistant Russel Roach also created history by finishing the season unbeaten.

Romaine Barnes – Wallace and Naishaine Grant – O’Garro finishes top scorers each with 15 goals.

Speaking after completing the double chairman and club founder Nahimul Islam said, “We are a dedicated bunch of volunteers who have the interests of the community at heart and have worked above and beyond to provide opportunities for young people to showcase their talents.

“This brilliant achievement is down to the dedication of the coaching team who have worked so hard to enable the players to flourish and express themselves.”

Wapping FC are official partners with the Juventus Academy and are holding trials:

School years 6,7,8,9 are invited to attend sessions on May 11th, 18th and June 8th and 15th from 10-12 at Victoria Park, Victoria Park Road, London E9 7BT.

Also, every Sunday the club hosts play and pay sessions for £3.50 for years 1-6 at Stepney Green 4G Astro, Stepney Green, London E1 3NG.
