A RECALL OF some sour cream and onion flavour chips (or crisps) has been announced. The product is made by Boundless and sold under their own name.
The crisps have been found to contain milk – but that has not been declared on the label. Although only some people have an allergy to milk, reactions from those who do have them can be very severe – even causing death if medical treatment is not immediately available.
The recalled product comes in a pack weighing 80g. Some packets have a “best before” date of 30th November 2025: these have batch codes 31724 or 32424. Other packs have a “best before” date of 31st December 2025 and have the batch codes 34624 and 34724.
Notices will go up in shops that sell these products, warning customers of the risks. However, everyone should check their cupboards. Even if no one in your household has a milk allergy, it is still best to take the products back to the store where you bought it and ask for a full refund. That will ensure that no accidents happen.
