IT WASN’T so much a Council meeting as a Labour Rally in the Town Hall last week – and, once again, the meeting failed to discuss topical motions tabled by opposition councillors.
Now Tower Hamlets councillors are going to make up for the lack of debate in the Town Hall by holding their own meeting – which will be open to the community. Cllr Ohid Ahmed will be speaking and Cllr Maium Miah will share the chairing with Sabia Kamali. Topics to be covered include acid attacks, hate crime, anti-social behaviour (ASB) and fire safety.
