POLICE ARE appealing for anyone who saw a collision between a car and a pedestrian near Crossharbour DLR station late last night, Saturday, 25th May to come forward.
The collision took place in Limeharbour on the Isle of Dogs – the road which runs parallel to the DLR, on the east side of the track, for a short distance as trains approach Crossharbour station. It occurred just before 11.45pm, which is when police received reports about it.
Police and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a pedestrian, a 26 year old woman, with a number of serious injuries. She was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition. Her next of kin have been informed.
Police spoke to the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision, a red Vauxhall Astra, at the scene.
Police officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating the incident. No arrests have yet been made.
