THREE TIMES this month Waitrose has had to recall a product from sale over safety concerns. First it was rhubarb crumble; then it was black olives; and now it is oat milk.
The product being recalled is the one litre Waitrose Essential Unsweetened Oat Drink. The affected packs have sell-by dates between 14th August and 29th October 2026. It has been recalled because there was a breakdown in temperature control during manufacture which has created a risk of “microbiological contamination and spoilage” – and the drink is therefore unsafe to drink.
Waitrose has apologised for the need to recall the product.
If you have bought this product, do not drink it. Take it back to the store where you bought it and you should receive a full refund. If you need any further information, call the Waitrose Customer Care team on 0800-188 884, Option 4.
