Tilpara have written another golden chapter into Beanibazar’s footballing story after being crowned United Beanibazar Union Cup 2025 champions. In a closely fought final, they edged past Alinogor 1-0, with the decisive strike by man of the tournament tournament Zayden Uddin. Having also struck the winner in the semi-final against Kurar Bazar, Uddin’s sharp finishing proved the difference on the big stage and underlined his reputation as one of the Union Cup’s brightest talents.

The Beanibazar Union Cup has grown into a cultural celebration that embodies the identity, spirit, and kinship of the people of Beanibazar – both at home and across its global diaspora. The 2025 edition brought together ten proud sides: Tilpara, Pourashaba, Sheola, Alinogor, Friends Sporting Club, Mathiura, Lauta, Muria, Kurar Bazar, and Charkhai. Each team carried with them their communities, both local and international.

The champions also featured two of Beanibazar’s footballing greats, Abul Hussain and Abdal Ahmed. Hussain, a Tilpara stalwart, paid tribute to the new champions: “Tilpara’s performance was built on courage and togetherness. This victory will inspire young people in Beanibazar and abroad to stay connected with their heritage and believe in the power of unity.”

What made this year’s tournament truly special was the atmosphere beyond the pitch. Families, elders, and youth came together, joined by supporters from the wider diaspora, creating a festival of belonging. The Union Cup reaffirmed its role not just as a sporting competition, but as a bridge between generations and across continents.

The tournament’s continued success is powered by generous community backing. Key sponsors including Neyzen Restaurant, MR Printers, ANDR Media, Positive Assets, Tawhid Academy, iMAX Design, Spice Station, MB Masala Bazaar, Grand Rasoi, and Alif Halal all ensured that the Cup remained professional, vibrant, and sustainable. Their support demonstrates how local businesses can nurture grassroots sport while preserving cultural traditions.

Yet the Union Cup is not solely about trophies. This year, the organisers have committed to raising funds for kidney patients in Sylhet, with a long term ambition to help establish a much needed dialysis centre in the region. For families grappling with the effects of kidney disease, the project promises life changing care and hope for the future.

The United management team of Rahul A Rahman, Helal Uddin, Najimul Islam, Tajul Islam, and Ashok Ahmed reflected on their achievement: “Retaining the Union Cup is a dream fulfilled, but our greatest pride lies in how this competition unites people. The Beanibazar Union Cup is bigger than football, it is family, friendship, and community spirit. That is our greatest victory.”

As Tilpara lifted the Cup for the second consecutive year, they not only celebrated sporting success but also reaffirmed what the Union Cup represents: resilience, unity, and a proud heritage that stretches far beyond Beanibazar itself. For its people and global diaspora, this triumph is a symbol of what can be achieved when a community stands together.
