The 2018 East End Health Network Health Fair promises to be bigger and better, with more organisations holding stalls, providing specialised services and running insightful workshops focusing on – amongst other issues – diabetes and how to manage it when fasting in Ramadan.
The event takes place on 25th April, between 11am-2.30pm. Activities will include: •free Health Checks provided by nurses and Health Care Assistants; •Body Composition Checks by a trained Sports Coach; •a “blender vendor” – to test your cycling skills while creating a cool refreshing smoothie; •male and female massage therapists to relieve stress; •goody bags.
There will also be impressive prizes on offer for visitors who register and receive a free raffle ticket. The draw will take place towards the end of the event.
Speaking ahead of the event, Social Prescriber Sham Zaman said, “Education and prevention are key when it comes to safeguarding health – the single most valuable aspect of our lives. Last year we had over 400 visitors and this year we are confident of surpassing that figure. We look forward to welcoming the community to this great event where this year the activities are bigger, better – and free.”
