AGED ONLY 16, he is too young to be named – but old enough to be charged with murder – and with possession of a bladed article.
The charge arises from the murder of a young man on the street in Poplar Close, off Towpath Walk, in Hackney Wick, E9 on 25th May. The murder occurred after a large crowd gathered and appeared to get into a fight. Some of the crowd were seen holding machetes.
The murder victim has now been named as Brayan David Saldarriaga, from Haringey. His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers and have not yet issued a statement.
